What are the CrossFit Games?, Everything you need to know

The Nobull CrossFit Games are the top event in this discipline. It is a yearly worldwide competition (began in June 30 2007) where athletes compete against each other in intense fitness exercises.

Each consists of unconventional and extreme workouts that tests strength, endurance, skill, gymnastics, and even mental ability.

They often include surprise elements not considered part of the typical CrossFit regimen (swimming or skill drills such as ball tosses are included in some events).

The winners of each category (men, women, by the team) will receive title of Fittest on Earth, plus a cash prize of 2.8 million dollars.

For the first time, the top 40 men and women competing will receive a minimum payout, and team prizes are now to the top 10 (previously only 5). Adapted divisions will receive prize money on a uniform basis.

This year 2022, the structure of the Games was: Open-Quarterfinals-Semifinals-Last Chance-CrossFit Games.

According to the blog CrossFit Fortify, around 4 million people practice CrossFit worldwide.

In January 2022, Morning Chalk Up estimated that around the globe, there were approximately 12,500 gyms affiliated with this discipline.
